painful typing

actually, it's a lot better than it was last night, but i'll probably pay for this typing later. i was going to do it all one handed, but that's way too slow!!! luckily, it's the left hand that's damaged, not the right. well crap. this isn't working well at all. every time i have to leave home row, it stretches and hurts. back to one handed typing. be glad this isn't a chat or you'd be cranky with me for my slowness.

the cut is on the palm side, right at the base of my left index (pointer) finger. it goes horizontally all the way across the joint, along the little natural line there. the three little stitches tug each time i try to extend the finger, so it has to stay slightly bent inward. and since all the rest of the fingers on that hand have to sort of follow suit for the most part, the whole hand is just slightly cupped, as if i were getting ready to palm say...a C cup - which leaves me with a kind of permanent queen of england wave going on with that hand. it's about as useful as a hand in a mitten at this point. only less so, since i can't make it go flat and i can't close the fist either. the smallest i can close it is to a diameter of about an inch...*rtoeb*
