We were feeling a little stressed today, so Jeff and I decided to go see the new film, Serenity. Ha. Seriously, we were feeling stressed. But we knew it was a sci fi thriller. But it was definitely more relaxing than sitting here filling out paperwork and folding laundry and doing the bills.
Why were we stressed? Various and sundry reasons. Jeff's work is rather chaotic at the moment. I am feeling a little bit piled on lately by unexpected bumps in the road - mostly of a financial nature, and not worth spending a lot of text time on. Suffice it to say that the paperwork/out of pocket expense involved in moving health care and retirement plans from one company to another is a massive pain in the ass AND we watered the lawn way too much this summer AND our life insurance policies just reached some ten year anniversary, unexpectedly, causing the premiums to suddenly quadruple without a timely warning (we, of course, have automatic draft for the premiums). So my budget is a tad out of whack from where I thought it was going to be this month. *muttered curses* Oh wait, and did I forget to mention that I have young teenaged idiots in the house? Right.

So basically, we liked the movie and told the kids we'd drop them off to see it next weekend if they want to go. Now I need to make some random remarks to fill a little space before I move onto the spoilery section of the post. Let me see...
What else did I do today? Oh yeah! I put my new quilt on my bed. Also, I think that when I posted the pictures yesterday, while I did give credit where credit was totally due, I think I forgot to say THANK YOU! Thank you, Carrie, so much for my beautiful new quilt! It looks really nice on my bed. After I get the skirt and the toss pillows done in a couple of weeks or so, I'll take a picture of the whole ding dang deal and post it.
Now I'm going to put in some asterisks, and that bottom of that will be the spoilers for Serenity.
